  • A biennial that produces a rosette of basal leaves the first year.

  • Large four petal lemon scented bright yellow flowers form on a branching stem the following year.

  • The flowers are adapted to attract night time pollinators such as sphinx moths. The flowers open in the evening, stay open overnight and close by the following morning.

  • Drought tolerant, requiring very little care, flowers from early summer to frost.

  • Self seeds readily.

  • Prefers impoverished soil.
